If you find yourself with too light a print, you are probably low on toner.
Setting up:Spread newspaper out on the work surface in two layers. Place the cylinder to be filled on the newspaper.Shake the bottle 4-5 times. Open the toner refill bottle and remove the cap and the silver inner seal. Replace the cap with the funnel cap.
Removing the stopper:In order to fill the Hopper Cylinder first remove the round rubber stopper located at the left end of the Hopper Cylinder as the cylinder faces you on the work surface.Using the flat-head screwdriver, gently pry the rubber stopper out by working the screwdriver under the lip of the stopper moving clock-wise around the rubber stopper.
Emptying the remaining old toner:To empty out any existing toner left in the Hopper Cylinder, turn the Hopper Cylinder upside down and dump the remaining toner out on top of the first layer of newspaper. Set the Hopper Cylinder to one side and roll the first layer of newspaper up tightly and discard immediately.
Filling the Hopper Cylinder:Pick up the Hopper Cylinder, holding it in one hand, stand it on end. Take the toner refill bottle in the other hand-holding it at a moderate arm's length away- slowly pour all the toner from the refill bottle into the Hopper Cylinder. (Slow pouring will minimize the toner dust in the air.)
Replace the stopper in the end of the Hopper Cylinder.Tightly roll up the last layer of newspaper and discard immediately. Vacuum up any spilled toner. Wipe hands well on a dry cloth, then wasy hands thoroughly with soap.
Reload cylinder in refills according to manufacturer's instructions.
